TomTom Rider 2 Review: Reliable and Recommended
TomTom Rider 2 is a GPS unit first class, to say the least. A car mount adapter can be purchased for use in a car. It has a lot of different and innovative features, including, which are explained in the manual that is in the same unit (the inclusion of direct manual on the drive itself an innovative act, by the way). In general, it is an amazing GPS navigation unit that falls into the category of lower prices, but still has almost all the features required for an average biker.
Review:
The documentation is good, since only the instruction configuration are in it, the rest is in the unit itself. After the unit actually created, it is easy to navigate, and everything is easy to understand and use, like the rest of the instructions are next to the actions and you can customize almost everything on the screen when the unit is set. The best part is you do not have to carry a manual with you at all times, as can be saved, the book that accompanies the waste and the use of the unit to find it for you.
You can carry all your address book on the drive if your phone has Bluetooth support, it is definitely helpful. It also lets you make hands-free calls if you has a headset. The device is waterproof (it's made for bikes, however, it is not a surprise) acquires GPS signal quickly and is long battery life. The screen has great graphics and an adjustable brightness. The sensitivity of the touch screen is also nice and can be connected to your computer for ultra-fast download map. It also allows Outlook to download the contact database and the voices of the directions of the map agree to choose. Unsupported media, compared with other models, but you can get an iPod for the money saved by choosing TomTom Rider 2.
While there are newer models of the TomTom Rider 2, which are loaded with lots of other features, the only missing feature of this GPS unit is the lack of spoken street names during navigation. There is a but - it is to double check everything you see - and double-checking is one thing you should always do as you are probably using a bicycle. Would difficult to find a better alternative in terms of price, functionality and quality - and it would be difficult to find a better gift for a hardcore rider - an easy portable to install and use the GPS with a built-in viewer and a touch screen that can be used with gloves.
