Specialized Roubaix comp commuting in England?
I am thinking of buying a lightly used Spesh Roubaix Comp 2008 (50 miles) from my trip 10-15 miles daily in each direction. 1) Is the price of 900 pounds a good deal? 2) A Carbon Bike make a significant difference to the comfort of aluminum for travel. At this price point is a good idea to use the bicycle for daily commuting? Full Shimano 105 gruppo (I will use sks race blades and a backpack). Not require a frame for life. 4-5 years of frequent use. 3) The Bike Rack at work is located right in front of security guards, and parking, so theft should not be a problem. I've been using my current bike aluminum 1.5yrs without problems.
It is a very good bike that should last more than five years track to meet their needs very effectively. The carbon frame should be significantly lighter than aluminum age, and must soak the bumps much better. Shimano 105 kit is good quality and good price. The price seems fair for cycling and age, but not particularly cheap either. Be sure to insure it just in case, probably I can add to your home insurance at low cost or not.
