Bike Accessories Lights

What are some nice accessories to add to a Cruiser Bike?
My plan is to wake up early in the morning (5:30-6 ish) ride bikes a few miles when its still dark and cold to lose weight, what things I need? things as well as, obviously, a light, too, probably use it for quick runs to the store, so some type of storage systems, but not the handle bar baskets ... in any case i do not really need storage ... Any idea what else?
Sometimes overlooked are the clothing and safety equipment. You may want to get a helmet, for starters. Also, some clothes High visibility good, maybe a bright jacket with reflective safety bands built in. I like cycling gloves to help keep my hands a good and solid grip. Some people like to have a rearview mirror mounted on his helmet, or maybe your handlebars. It's all a matter of personal taste, to some extent. However, horseback riding at dawn or dusk, really want to be seen by traffic, since it is a dangerous time to ride with regard to visibility concerns. Be seen, be safe! Otherwise, just that the bike is ready and ready to go, keep the tires inflated.
