among other things, I'm a geek for wearing a motorcycle helmet?
I have a sweet new bike with some of the money I saved. then my brother bought me a helmet (A plain black helmet bell) and told me I had to promise that he would take him b / c that works in a hospital and there are a lot of cases children often trash die and fall off the bike and not damage the head or w / e for not wearing a helmet. Im 13 and I know plenty of people who live in my nehjood do not want to get made fun of by wear a bicycle helmet. I use it or not. thanks by the way I walk in the street, not on sidewalks
Geaks are smart, right? It's smart to wear a helmet and I guess, you are a technician Geake. BUT, bicycle helmets can reduce severe head injuries (as long as you wear it well ... it's useless or not). They can also provide better cooling that no helmet (protection against the sun, in addition to the venturi effect). I used to think that helmets were unnecessary If you ride safely. But he started using one anyway. I'g glad I gave you, because 2 months later I was cut off by a car and ended with a broken collarbone and a concussion. Without the helmet I could have died .... and no doubt would have been more seriously injured. A few years later I had another accident, when again the helmet saved me from head injury when it is cut by a cyclist in a bike lane and fell on my back and head. I crushed two vertebrae ... but had no problems head. Helmets are not perfect (see previous note and re-use one right), but they are the smart way to supplement safe driving skills.
